The political scene is starting to clear up. We have on one side the most liberal senator in the US Senate vs the renegade war hero. For conservatives the outlook does not look so great. Our nominee for president is a man who spent the last 8 years giving us the proverbial finger. At least that is the consensus. Many say that we have to choose between a Liberal and someone who isn't conservative.
The reality of the situation is this: John McCain is conservative despite his past. And when he stands on stage next to Barack Hussein Obama he is going to look like a g.d. founding father. Obama is a socialist with a silver tongue and a steel knife that is just moments away from your back. He is shaking your right hand while his left is grabbing your wallet.
I can't believe that people are actually saying that there is no difference between McCain or Obama getting elected.
I think the people that say this kind of stuff are just frustrated that we didn't get Ronald Reagan. That's cool I understand. He was my favorite President too. The issue I have is that now we have a candidate that was not a poster boy for us for the last eight years. Fine. I get it. But lets look at this from a new perspective. John McCain was loved by the media and he loved them. Then all of the sudden the other day he gets nailed with this lie on the front page of the NY Times. It had no sources. No evidence just lies and innuendo. I think it's a wake up call for McCain.
McCain is also still hurting from the way the Immigration Bill was defeated. Again a wake-up Call.
And now it looks like his own bill, the Campaign Finance Reform, is biting him in the butt.
Wake-up time John. Come back to the light. Step away from the Dark Side...
I actually believe that when you compare Obama and McCain the differences are so vast and striking that one HAS to see them.
One thing is for sure, John McCain is no more liberal than George W. Bush. With that in mind we have to ask ourselves is all this worth it? Is it worth throwing this election away in spite and then hope that we can garner up a Ronald Reagan in four years? I say it is not.
The best way for us to preserve what is left of our nation and to build toward restoring the principles of individual liberty and responsibility is to put conservatives in Washington and to keep putting them there. We need to find these conservatives and put them in office.
